We’ve been awarded Google Partner status. Below, we cover what that means, what it takes to earn Google Partner status, and what it means for Floresco clients.ย

Floresco is proud to announce that we’ve been awarded Google Partner status just 18 months after launching.

It’s a big milestone for any paid media agency. And we’re over the moon to have hit it, but what does it actually mean?

What is a Google Partner?

The Google Partners programme is for advertising agencies that manage Google Ads accounts on behalf of other businesses. It has three tiers:

Member โ€“ any agency that signs up to the programme

Partner โ€“ agencies that meet Google’s requirements for performance, spend and certifications

Premier Partner โ€“ the top 3% of participating companies in each country, assessed once a year

There’s no cost to join the programme. Agencies get their Partner badge once they meet Googleโ€™s requirements. And it needs to be kept as well as won in the first place.ย

What This Means to Us

Here’s what Co-Founder Sally Hunt had to say on the achievement:

“A key aim for Floresco Media has been to lay strong foundations for excellence across the business from the very beginning. Achieving Google Partner status already is a reflection of that.

โ€œBut, at the end of the day, this is just recognition of the work we’d be doing anyway: optimising client accounts, aligning to best practice, spending budgets intelligently, and investing in our team’s training.”

What Does It Take to Become a Google Partner?

Achieving Google Partner status requires three core elements, set out in Google’s Partner requirements:

Performance: an optimisation score of at least 70% across the Google Ads accounts we manage.

Spend: at least $10,000 (USD) of ad spend across managed accounts over 90 days.

Certifications: at least half of our account strategists certified in Google Ads, plus a certification in each product area where our clients spend $500 or more over 90 days.

Between us, the team holds Google Ads certifications in Search, Display, and Shopping.

What is Googleโ€™s Optimisation Score?

Optimisation score is Google’s estimate of how well an account is set up to perform, based on the recommendations it makes for that account. Agencies raise the score by applying those recommendations, or by dismissing the ones that aren’t right for the client.

“Part of the Partner criteria is an optimisation score of at least 70%, and Google is clear that agencies can dismiss recommendations that don’t suit a client’s goals.

โ€œWe always optimise for our clients’ businesses and goals first. Being a Google Partner shows we can do that while meeting Google’s standards.”

What Does This Mean for Our Clients?

We’re very proud to have reached Partner status and are excited to continue to provide excellent service to our paid search and performance marketing clients.

In practical terms, working with a Google Partner means:

  • A team certified in the Google Ads products running your campaigns
  • Accounts managed to standards that Google checks continuously
  • Access to Google’s product training and annual industry report
  • A listing in the Google Partners directory, so you can check our status yourself

A Google Partner badge shows an agency meets Google’s standards. Whether they’re the right fit for your business is separate. The best evidence for that is their work. To see more about what we do, head over to our case studies.
