We’re now an accredited Living Wage Employer, the latest step in our commitment to paying our team fairly and going beyond the legal minimum.
This is something weโre really proud of. The Living Wage Foundation has officially accredited Floresco as a Living Wage Employer.

That puts us alongside nearly 17,000 UK employers who’ve committed to paying everyone who works for them the real Living Wage. That’s ยฃ13.45 an hour across the UK, and ยฃ14.80 in London. It’s higher than the government’s minimum. And it goes up every year in line with the cost of living.
We only launched in spring 2025, and we’re still a small team. But we want to be known as a really good employer, and that starts with fair pay. Every employer has legal minimums to meet, on pay and on pensions. We want to go beyond them.
โI feel strongly that we owe it to our team to go beyond legal minimums. This is a non-negotiable for me us as leaders. Paying the real Living Wage is something we’d have done anyway but getting accredited holds us accountable and means we stand behind it publicly.โ

What Is the Real Living Wage?
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate calculated on what people need to live on. The Resolution Foundation works it out each year, overseen by the Living Wage Commission. It covers everyday costs like rent, energy bills, childcare and transport.
The government’s National Living Wage is something else. It’s the legal minimum every employer has to pay, and it’s based on median earnings rather than living costs.
| Real Living Wage | National Living Wage | |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly rate | ยฃ13.45 (ยฃ14.80 in London) | ยฃ12.71 |
| Set by | Living Wage Foundation, calculated by the Resolution Foundation | UK government |
| Based on | The cost of living | Median earnings |
| Applies from age | 18 | 21 |
| Paying it is | Voluntary | A legal requirement |
In practice, a full-time worker on the real Living Wage earns ยฃ1,443 a year more than someone on the government minimum. In London, the difference is ยฃ4,076.
The 2026โ27 rates are announced on the 15th October 2026. Accredited employers then have until May 2027 to bring them in.
Going Beyond the Legal Minimum
When Sally and Harriet set up Floresco, they set out to build the agency theyโd want to work with as a client, and work for as part of the team.ย
Paying people fairly sits at the heart of that. The National Living Wage is the legal minimum. The real Living Wage is what people actually need to live on. We would have done this anyway, but becoming accredited means our commitment is public and independently checked.ย
Helping Our Team Feel Confident About Money
Fair pay is just the starting point. We also want our team to feel confident about what to do with it.
Pensions are a good example. By law, every employer has to auto-enrol staff into a workplace pension and pay in a minimum amount. But the system can be hard to get your head around.
The Department for Work and Pensions looked at private pension wealth for people aged 55 to 59 between 2020 and 2022. Women had a median pot of ยฃ81,000. For men, it was ยฃ156,000. That’s a 48% gap.
In short: men are heading into retirement with almost double the private pension wealth of women.
So we invited Zoรซ Burt from Words on Wealth to talk to the whole team about pensions, investments and money more broadly.ย

To be clear, that’s not just because we’re an all-female team and the gap exists. We’d be doing this regardless, because helping everyone feel confident about their money is part of looking after our teammates. We plan to make these sessions a regular thing.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning. We want Floresco to be recognised as a brilliant place to build a career in paid media.
That means fair pay, active support with money, and room to grow. We’ll share more as we add to it.
If you’d like to be part of it, keep an eye on our careers page and LinkedIn page. And if you’re a brand looking for a paid media agency that shares your values, please reach out.
